It is our country's 240th birthday! Happy 4th!

Belle Fourche, a ranch town in western South Dakota,
has the monument for the geographic center of the USA.
We decided to check it out today.
  The true center lies about 20
miles north of the town on a
parcel of pasture land.
So, John and I drove out there,
parked on the side of the road
and walked out on to a grassy
field and checked out that area
too.
Later we went to Mt Rushmore.
