Minuteman-II Silo

These last few days we've been bike riding and hiking in the Black Hills and today we visited the South Dakota Air and Space Museum. John was a pilot in the Army and I have served in the Air Force, so we really enjoyed seeing the aircraft and displays. The best part was the bus tour that took us to a silo. We got to go down into a Minuteman-II silo!

About Born 2 RV

Hello, I am Barbie and I’m married to my wonderful guy John. You can reach us at BornToRVemail@gmail.com We are from the Central Florida area. In 2014, we were living in a gated community on a lake front acre with a two-story home. The last child had just started university, so most of the time it was just the two of us at home and we love to travel. With two trips to Hawaii, a few to Europe and Asia and lots of cruises under our belt, we were ready to see North America. We never RV'd before but we were looking to write a new chapter in our lives. Three months later, we sold all our furniture and tools, donated four walk-in closets full of clothes, along with most of our dishes and pans, art, etc. We purchased a used mid-sized class-A RV just one week before we closed on the sale of our home. And our full time RVing began... Since then, we traded to a new 45ft RV and we began planning “the Big Alaska Trip.” - We started the Big Alaska RV Trip on April 1st 2016! That's where this story begins.
