  1. I loved that museum. I flew a survey job out of that area, for the US Geological survey branch, about 15 years ago. We based out of Marana. I would be interested in knowing which aircraft John flew?

  2. Hi Brian, my girlfriend Bonnie told us about about this museum, it is a good one. We took the tram tour and our tour guide was a retired fighter pilot, very interesting. We really enjoyed our days in the Tucson area. Flying for geological surveys, sounds like a cool job.

John has 5000 flying hours with 2000 as an instructor and 1000 combat hours. He flew the O-1 Bird Dog, U-6 Beaver, U-21 King Air, C-12 Super King Air, T-41, T-42, LA-4, and Cherokee for fixed wing and the OH-13, OH-58, and UH-1 for rotary.

  3. Wow 13,000 hrs! I'm glad you asked what John flew - as he was listing his aircraft to me, he told be lots of stories of his flying days. It's been a while since he talked about it. Good stories.

Our big trip to Alaska has been the best! Our seven months on the road is almost over, we are now headed back to Florida. We are already looking forward to next years trip, see you and Patti in eastern Canada.
