Last Day - Balloon Fiesta

Never known for being a morning person, somehow I find it easy to be out on the balloon launching field very early - love the serenity in the air and the magic of seeing the crews ready the balloons. This is a great time to talk to the balloon pilots, there are so many people to meet with balloons from all over the world. Dawn patrol is always worth getting up for and the mass Ascension was amazing this morning!

Left the field in enough time to get back to the coaches and say good-bye to everyone. Got to meet Rose and Larry's adorable yorkie 'Ty', what a sweetie. Later, John and I stopped by to see Brenda and Walt and we met their dog 'Dallas', a big loving yellow lab. While we were saying our good-byes some of the balloon came extremely close to the RVs, kind of exciting.

Eventually, it was time for us to pack up and roll down the road. We drove to White Sands Missile Range for the night.

  2. Hi Brian and Patti, so good to hear from you guys. The Balloon Fiesta was so amazing we are going to have to go back and see it another year. It can be anything you want it to be, one day we were working along side of the crew and helping with the balloons and the next day we just sat back and enjoyed a bottle of wines as watched the balloons go up. You two will love it.
