We fished at Homer's fishing hole, it was great trying out all the new fishing gear. We didn't catch anything today so we went to Pattie's for a wonderful salmon and halibut dinner.
You look so happy with your fishing gear! I have always wanted to try fishing, something about catching your own dinner is exciting to me. Besides, who said only men can do the catching? It may take time, but I'm sure you will soon be catching everything that swims! Good luck to you!
Hi Verna, thanks for the good wishes. I'm still enjoying the halibut I caught on the deep sea trips. I had a great time casting my fishing line in the rivers even if I didn't catch anything. One older fisherman I met in Ninilchik, Alaska told me that is why they call it 'fishing' - you never know if you will get that fish, if you caught a fish every time it would be called 'catching'. ;) - Barbara
