Terry and Denise gave us a tour of their beautiful new home in Richmond Hills. So good seeing them and their cute dog, Carly, again.
They've only lived here a short time but already know the area like the back of their hand. They showed us some of their favorite parks and restaurants. .
We had lunch at a cool little Airstream RV
themed restaurant, the Treylor Park. The place was busy so we started with seats at the bar while we waited for a table to open. The bartender was fun - he gave some good recommendations. It was not long until our table was ready. The Treylor Park specializes in comfort food with a twist; just one look at the menu and you know the chef has a creative side. Everyone ordered something different and we all shared. We had a chicken salad that was huge and fresh, yummy PB&J chicken wings a tasty grilled cheese & soup, pancake tacos w/strawberry salsa - so different and fruity good, pulled-pork tacos which were delicious. And we had an order of waffle fries on the table that were good too. A wonderful lunch. We spent the afternoon wondering around the beautiful parks and shops of Savannah.
We ended this wonderful day with sundaes at Leopold's. Leopold's Ice Cream was founded in 1919 by three brothers from Greece. Their ice cream has been a Savannah treat for almost one hundred years.
